I concede -- that's a fair and valid point.
BIIB, TMO, BA all solid earnings. XLNX not so much.
Holy shit... check out PBYI
Hopefully GILD follows suit
Yeah, I'm loving that. The entire sector moved on the report.
GILD has been weak lately, I trimmed 1/2 my position.
FB reports after the bell, fingers crossed.
Yeah I haven't sold GILD since my cost basis is quite low and I think they will meet expectations
Fingers crossed for FB too
Also need to find somewhere to put GWPH money been buying too many shoes. Any biotechs you watching?
I almost pulled the trigger on a biotech ETF, but couldn't figure out which one to do. I have not been watching anything new since that point. You?
GreenFrog is very green today!
FB baby, FB
Initial after hours drop was a bit confusing but back up
Nothing that I really feel convinced about, ETF wouldn't be a bad idea. GILD numbers pretty damn solid too
After hours trading is often goofy.
I am going to show possible ignorance here but does anyone have experience with annuities? My in-laws got into some after 2008 where they get a guaranteed 5% yearly and limited upside if the market goes over this amount. I think they ended up with a 10% gain last year. I understand the risks of losing upside but does this sound right? They also pay some ungodly expense ratio of like 4.25% or something ridiculous like that but they seem to enjoy it. They said that they cannot put more money into the annuities as the % isn't 5 anymore but a lot less. Seems like an odd investment choice but they are doctors and not finance people.
As for the market....CAT got hit and the jobless are decreasing but among the people I know with just high school diplomas, somehow they are deciding to sit out of the job market instead of working for $10 an hour...I don't understand how they sustain any sort of lives.
I took a hit with CAT but I'm still up 17% on it.
I don't know enough either but I know that you are putting an awful lot of faith in an insurance company's long term stability to make it worthwhile.
