1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Ron Paul ftw! :hide:

haha yeah one of my econ / banking professors went off about how dumb he believed Ron Paul was and said if you want the gold standard you might as well nuke every major American city, as it would have less long term damage compared to moving back to the gold standard

    Why do you say this?

When the dollar collapses, which it will. All fiat currencies fail on a long enough timeline, what do you expect people to do? Believe in a new paper currency? Or will they demand a currency backed by something real?

haha you clearly dont understand the point of owning gold.

Well shit be lookin ugly this morning.

Can't say I mind particularly, as we have no exposure right now, and bad markets mean other funds are going to do poorly.

Didn't mean to start a gold bug shit fight with my question, but wasn't implying in my question that re-montetiziation would be a conscious decision by some group of elites, but rather just happen on its own due to all the wonderful shit going on in Europe, China's econ, Iran, central banks now net buyers of gold since late 2011, etc etc. I dunno I'm just pontificating.

And you know how much of a gold/silver bug I am, but you are exactly right, gold is NOT money.

edit: On topic...HOLY SHIT, SEC filed against ACTC? Fuck.

Keep plugging GLUU. Same shitty fundamental problems.

Good luck holding this sucker through the summer swoon and pray for multiple stimulus orgasm in Q4.

And better pray for divine help to sell this pos to either JP or Chinese gaming companies that wants to expand internationally. Oh wait, Storm8, Mochi, etc all have better business model.

This non-productive asset has outperformed its arch enemy's company for the past decade.

when did this thread become like this. if we all knew exactly what will go up and where the market is going, we'll all be millionaires (billionaires really).

    Any thoughts on NXPI?

Looking to pick up some stocks that specialize or are stable leaders in Near Field Communications.

Ever since the gold lovers joined this thread pretty much. We never had any pointless, never-ending arguments before really.

Market is shit today, of course there will be a flight to quality. Gold to many is quality

if you don't know what will go up or where the market is going, its better for you to stick to buying index fund/etfs or those ridiculous double dipping target date funds.
