Three audacious "” and now arrested "” musicians scrambled atop their truck, plugged in their guitars and launched into a rendition of a song called "” wait for it "” "Traffic Jam 101."

"This was really bizarre. A rock band blocking one of the busiest freeways in L.A.," said Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, who was driving on the freeway when the incident unfolded. "I thought I'd seen everything in L.A."

Authorities say the musicians include at least two members of an Orange County rock band called Imperial Stars "” Christopher Wright, a vocalist, and Keith Yackey, a guitarist. A third musician, David Paul Hale, who was arrested, is not listed on the band's website which names five members. The band's management did not return phone messages.

I wouldn't care if it was a talented band, a political protest, or the Queen of England. There is no worse public nuisance than holding up traffic. GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY, SOME OF US HAVE A JOB TO GET TO. I loathe these people with every fiber of my being. I am not generally pro-death penalty but I would be delighted to see these people injected with a heinous poison that kills them from the inside out.

See, this is the very reason I want to make it legal to own a chimp or orangutan that is specially trained to throw poop on command. I would keep mine in my car.

heard an interview with these ******* idiots on npr. apparently they were trying to "raise awareness and money" for homeless children. they expressed disbelief and no remorse for people who claimed to have lost their jobs or one person who missed the birth of their child due to this marsupialed action. they said they would do it again. they're each out on $10,000 bail. hope they sold a whole lot of itunes singles.

seriously. is it even legal to drive a space-ready hovercraft Lamborghini with a Fender engine when you have that sort of condition?

i don't get it, why didn't someone just simply run them over? California law has a law preventing you from prosecution if you kill traffic blocking marsupials, i believe. kind of a Castle Doctrine for road ragers.

I'm surprised somebody didn't really hurt them, like badly. They're lucky.
