Today for the first time I closely examined an Estate tie. Previously I'd only bothered to look at the Seven Fold line. I saw that the Estate ties are saddle-stitched, as are the Bizzocchi ties. However, the ways in which they are saddle-stitched are quite different. Talbott seems to use a stiffer thread(and fewer strands of it), while Bizzocchi uses more strands of a softer thread. Also, Bizzocchi makes 3/8" or 1/2" stitches at intervals of this same length while Talbott makes 5/8" or 3/4" stitches at 1/4" intervals.
