Taking the sides of a shirt in vs putting in darts - which is cheaper? Front darts???

Which is the cheaper alteration to slim down a shirt - putting in darts or taking the sides in from the side seams? Also, is it acceptable for men to have darts put into the front of a shirt (I know this is not uncommon for women's blouses) in addition to darts in the back?Originally Posted by merkur
darts in back would be cheaper but will not do the job. that is unless there is looseness only in the back. the sides do it better. most of the time it takes a combination of both methods.
front darts are great if you have big boobs.
