Anyone know a good tailor in Philly (or out in the suburbs)? I have tried a few of the local cleaners who do alterations, but none seem to do that good of a job. Thanks.

Maybe this will bring Dr. Bresch out of hiding. (Doc, in case you missed it, I did apologize.)

I've used D&B Tailors (Newtown Square). Exceptional for alterations - sends out "custom" suits and coats to Gilibertos but very precise with final products.

He's the best I've found - not cheap but very reliable and good.

Newtown Square isabout 20 minutes away. I will have to stop by and check out the prices. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have used a tailor (the guys on the showroom floor - not sure if these are the same guys that do actually tailoring down below) at Boyds and asked them to do some tailoring on the side. His name was Gainni Russo.

    Jim,
In Doylestown try Ventresca. They have a fellow who makes bespoke clothing and who may also accept alterations.

And if your time here postdates Dr. Bresch's, Centofanti in Ardmore (right near the train station, if he hasn't moved in 20 years) is reputed to be the gold standard in that area.
