Tailors and higher-end cleaners in Chicago in 2022?

There have been a lot of closures over the past two years. Notably, Golden Needle in the Gold Coast closed, and that was THE place to get things tailored in Chicago. So I was wondering - are there any tailors folks here would recommend as a replacement?

And while we're on the topic of stuff in Chicago - are there any dry cleaning places that you'd trust with your bespoke clothing in Chicago? Given that pressing/shaping are a part of fit, I'm looking for a place that provides sponge cleaning (not a full dry cleaning) but also will do dry cleaning that won't completely flatten my jackets.

Alterations tailor:
Nick on Oak Street. Oak Street Tailors.

Cleaners:
Davis Imperial. They pick up.

P.S. I miss Maria as well. Used her for years and was sad to see her close up.

I assume @Despos will have good recommendations.

You could also try the dry cleaners in the East Bank Club. You don’t need to be a member to use them. Just go through the main entrance, take the stairs on the right next to the member services office and they will be on the right as you enter the garage area. You won’t need to go through the member kiosks.

I loved Maria! She altered almost all of my suits. I know that some of the heavy hitters in town also used her.

She is an elegant lady,
