Well, my boss gained weight from when he first came to America so he decided to give me his $400 Gucci shirt that didn't fit him anymore. I thought it fit perfectly when I first tried it on but now I can see that it isn't as slim as I would like it to be, and I don't care how much it costed but fit is pretty important

So tailors can size them down right? I want a slimmer chest and slimmer sleeves. Not much experience with tailors so I'd also like a recommendation for any nice tailors I can run to *look under my narrow-eyed fox for where I live!*

Astounding! Very much worth discovering the wonders of a tailor! I shall now return to reading the "How to Dilibertly Get Run Over By A Car" article!

No but seriously, I figured that much. I wanted good tailors near me and prices.

I don't know how relevant CT prices are to CA but I had a shirt shortened and taken in on the sides are it was only around $12 from a local reputable tailor. It probably wouldn't be much more to move the arm holes up, shorten them, etc.

Hm...
So any tailor can handle double stiched shirts? I really don't want this shirt to get screwed up by someone who dosen't know what they're doing.

It's a ******* shirt. One layer of fabric. Gucci or not, they're not that hard to alter.

If you are concerned with a specific tailor's abilities, I would bring him a couple shirts and give him a test drive. If he does a good job in both cases, chances are his work is consistent.

FWIW, I've been using he same tailor for a couple of years now, and I have so much of my clothing tailored that my guy gives me very good prices.

That's an idea. My friend just recommended me a tailor so I'll do just that. Thanks for the help!

shonen,

I've had luck for simple repairs with Erik's Alterations in the University Center across from UCI.

Haha! That's the exact one he recommended. Thank's for the second opinion.
