Tailoring/pattern question

I know that this is damn strange, but is there a name for the measurement between points 24 and 26 below? More importantly, what is correlation between this measurement and a point-to-point shoulder measurement? Specifically, can you increase the point-to-point shoulder measurement without increasing the width of the collar or the distance between points 24 and 26?

I am trying to think of a way to better articulate myself in some instructions to my tailor. My shoulders are relatively narrow, but my shoulders and upper chest make me fairly deep (for lack of a better word).

Much thanks in advance.

In a finished garment I usually refer to this as the "top shoulder". It relates somewhat to the point to point, but not as much as the back panels of the coat.

Your tailor should be able to fit you correctly if he is actually measuring you in person.

What are you trying to communicate to your tailor?

In the last fitting of a recent suit, I asked that this top shoulder be shortened. When the finished suit was shipped to me, I noticed it was a bit snug in the shoulders (blades). I just want to make sure that this isn't a necessary bi-product of my requested changes. Furthermore, I can't intuitively figure out how you would remedy this. Open up the center seam? Just trying to figure out how this stuff works.

When you say your chest and shoulders are deep, i am thinking deep front to back from a side view. Tight on the blades, do you mean at the lower part of the back of the armhole to the waist or across the top of your back?
One more odd question, if you hold the left shoulder of the jacket in your left hand, does the line where the sleeve is sewn to the jacket look straight like this l or more like /. I'm asking about the sleeve seam not the shoulder seam.
