Tailoring narrow pants

I recently purchased a suit on B&S, and the pants are a little narrower than I expected them to be at the bottom. The leg opening is about 7.4", and I am 5' 10" tall and wear a size 10US shoes. So, I am concerned that they look a little too slim, especially for a suit. Is there anything a tailor can do to widen a leg opening a little. They do have to be shortened a good bit, so maybe it will be a little wider up the leg at that point?

If there is material available, a tailor can widen a little. You will also have a little wider spacing once you take it up.
