Just rec'd a suit from Jason (TaT)...i've found that different materials seem to drape differently (maybe?), and with this latest suit, the shoulder is noticeably softer than my previous TaT suit, which had a stronger shoulder. Anything less than a straight line along the shoulder kind of bothers me for some reason

can a tailor remedy this? it doesn't seem like much has to be done, but I'm not even sure what a tailor can do. Is this only an issue of adding padding or what? any input would be much appreciated. Thanks

send it back and get a different suit with a firmer shoulder.
if you really want this suit, then possibly a layer or two of hair cloth might do the job.
ask your tailor.

sending back is not an option. it's not a huge problem...it's not even that I want more padding necessarily...i just want the shoulder line to be straight. ideally, i'd like the end of the shoulder to be firmer, creating that straight line, rather than droop a bit like it is doing now

I think attempting to change the shoulder is one of the worst, if not the worst, thing you can do to a suit.

well, I understand that changing the actual shoulder would be extremely complex surgery, but this is only an issue of padding (I think, or at least I hope). guess i'll just see what the tailor says
