Tailored pants, outseam is not on the side

Hi,

i got some tailored pants and and see that the outseam is not really on the side of the pants, its more on the "corner" front side. Im having the pants remade but im wondering what measurements to adjust to have the outseam be 1inch/2-3cm more to the side.

Is the outseam position linked to the inseam position directly ? Because then i can maybe change the ratio of the front and back rise (but same length total) so that the inseam starts more less on the side, meaning the outseam will then be "pushed" more to the side ? This is given that the in- and outseam cut the pants 50/50 front and back i guess.
