Recommend Tailor to convert vintage 2 button coats to 3 button, narrow lapels on double breasted jackets

Vintage McGeorge 6 ply shetland shawl cardigan- small spot on elbow needs repairing

Many thanks for any recommendations.

Are you really sure about this?

Two > three buttons.
Is the placement of the two such that a third can actually be added without the coat looking stupid?

DB Lapels
Again, will this actually work? You are trying to change the way it was sewn up and its balance may well go askew. Would you not be better selling it as a vintage garment and buying/getting a new one made.

Cardigan
Can no one locally do this? It is a very unusual request these days and those willing to undertake this will be few. Is there no one in your family that could do this for you?

Negative I appreciate but there is a great deal more to what appears a simple request if you are not to end up with unwearable garments. Photographs might help rather than just words.
