Tailor made suits - what to look out for?

If ure going to the tailors, and you need a suit, how do you decide which tailor to pick and whats the best tailored suit you can get. In terms of stitching, canvas, style etc. I was always under the impression that tailors in Bangkok know their work but I wasnt happy with my stuff. So I'd love to know what I need to look out for next time and how never to get suits from bangkok again! Btw, WW CHan seems to be popular on this board, hows their work?

P.S. - hate those bloody salespeople who work for the tailors in bangkok!
