I need recommendations for a tailor in Ottawa. I don't need anything dramatic done - I'm just having a suit I purchased from LA Guy altered.

Anyone?

Here I was thinking that I was the only one from Ottawa.

I know there's only one store that does full bespoke in Ottawa and it's at 61 Queen St. right close to Elgin, pretty much two hundred meters from the intersection.

Place is called Myles G L Ltd, and the owner's name is Klint, IIRC. He's a great guy.

Also try Paulo Ippolito at 1340 Kitchener st.

Not to shift the subject (sorry)... But, when I was in college, friends/girlfriends and I used to drive up to Ottowa from northern NY to go in search of a good restaurant; then, we'd go across the river to Hull to the first stripclub I'd ever been to, the Lipstick Lounge, and some dance club the name of which escapes me now. Of course this was back in the 1986-1988 time period, so it was awhile ago.... Ottowa's a beautiful city though -- at least once, we brought along our ice skates and skated up the canal for a few miles. I love the idea of being able to commute to work on ice skates.

It is a beautiful city. I'm at the University of Ottawa right, but there's a good chance that I'll be transferring to a bigger city in the beau pays de Quebec. I can't help but think that I'll miss it.

I'm sure I could take some pictures and post them up for you if you'd like. It's gorgeous downtown these days.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not actually from Ottawa - I'm from Vancouver, but stuck here for awhile.

It's excellent, for the price. I wouldn't normally go for black, or twill, but the cut is great and the price was right.
