Tailer polo shirts???

I have to relatively expensive long sleeve polo shirts that are a lil big on me now. I want to make them slim a bit and maybe shorter from the bottom. Would a tailer be able to do this or would i just need to buy a new shirt in a smaller size?

Yes, it is possible for a tailor to slim in the sides of the shirt and make it shorter.
