Is it me? I was perusing the latest Wine Enthusiast catalog, and their seems to be a lot of schlock inside. For example, I am all for aerating a nice 2004 Cab, but an obnoxious wine aerator attached to the spout of the bottle? Why not just decant in a classic decanter? Or even underpour it in a proper class?

I can only imagine that if you look through the rest of the magazine, you'll more than likely find an advertisement for that exact aerator.

To me, it's like The Sharper Image. Some things are alright--and even excellent--but most are silly. I like the Riedel Vinum line for just about everything.
