A while back I had a huge uvula (the thing that hangs in your mouth). It was literally laying on my tongue. I didn't want to say anything about in fear of going to the doctor, getting a blood test and having it screened for drugs. So I just drank a ton of water and it was gone by the next day. Whew. I was happy. But, for some reason I was curious as to what caused it and decided to google it and stumbled upon this link and thought it would be nice to share it with you guys. So don't freak the hell out the next time this thing is as big as your thumb like I did when I saw it.
Right here
If you don't want to click that, I'll sum it up for you. Lots of things cause the uvula to flip the hell out. They include: drinking, allergies, smoking, and all sorts of things that you would expect to cause it. The swelling has something to do with dehydration. I don't know why, but it does. The best way to fix it is to "drink a **** ton of water". I looked it up on a few other sites and the use of cocaine can make it huge. Something to do with all the sniffing and stuff.
I don't know why I posted that, but I thought it was interesting.
