Sweater sleeve Questions

So, i've been meaning to ask this, but I have been away on vacation. I am tall (6'1") but have somewhat short arms for my height (about 34.5"). I can get Brooks Bros. Shirts and various other manufacturers shirts to work out just fine for me, but sweaters always seem to have an issue. I always have extra fabric, and the sleeves tend to go over my knuckles if i lay them out over my hands. Needless to say, I get extra fabric on the arms, and it bugs me, as I love sweaters

Question 1.

For a basic sweater, cashmere Brooks Bros or Loro Piana, is it possible to get the sleeves shortened? I didnt think so, but if anyone could tell me, I figured it would be the people of this forum

Question 2

Regardless of the answer to question 1 does anyone know of a manufacturer that does sweaters with sleeves of this length (or at least closer to this length so there isnt so much fabric), or MTM? I don't really want to do MTM cashmere if I don't have to, but I would consider it

Thanks again for all the help. I hope everyone is well, and I look forward to your replies.

I dont believe that you can shorten the sweaters sleeve length with it looking normal as sweaters usually end in a ribbing which would be difficult to deal with. That being said, I may have merino wool sweaters that work for this size, and as far as cashmeres, the Scottish that I carry (Murray allan) are longer in the sleeve but seems to be made for the rolling back of the sleeve cuff as the hem is on the outside, whereas the Italian (Colombo) seem to be made with a shorter sleeve. (incidentally the Merino wools are also Italian). You can see them all here. I can measure later as I am not in the store this moment.

Reviving this question as I'm curious what others would do with a pullover sweater if everything else looks good but there is excess fabric in the sleeves.

Fold back the cuffs? Push up the sleeves? Try to shrink them? Return or give away the sweater? I realize there are already several threads about sweater sleeves, but I didn't see much discussion on this point. Thanks!
