I’m pretty sure Anthony jacket has stayed consistent regardless whether it was 2008 Cruso stuff or later, though pants definitely got way slimmer, the 2008 stuff would be like 8.25 in leg opening in size 31 while the much later stuff is like 7.5 inch or slimmer

Also if you’re afraid too skimpy lapel look for the peak lapel stuff still slim but less so, this is fairly accurate look

nigel cabourn ripstop 'suit' with oscar hunt shirt (collar roll probably isn't sufficient for most, but doesn't bother me so much anymore), poszetka shantung tie, and EG x sebago coverdecks (sadly too small for regular wear but bearable for random events). this is pretty much my go-to wedding outfit now, particularly as many australian weddings tend to lean on the casual side. occasionally wear tricker ilkleys (ironically too big) if the weather is terrible, although they are a lighter brown.

(appreciate it's not the best photo, even if you ignore the USB cable and heavily pregnant + pixelated partner in crime...)

Appreciate these are terrible photos, but thought would share. Blurhms cardigan jacket and wide slacks.

Also trying to find a shirt to wear with it for a wedding. What are people's thoughts on this button down, or an alternative?

Do you have a band collar shirt? That might work well with the blurhms set

Yeah I do, which does work well I think, although wasn't sure if I could get away with no tie for a wedding and the colour isnt quite right. I might look for some other band collar options. Sort of trying to thread the needle a bit in terms of just smart enough. Also thinking this might be an option https://www.studionicholson.com/products/rise-shirt-in-linen

I would not wear that particular suit with a tie, personally. That shirt can be good too, but again, I don't really see a tie coming in there

Fair enough, I had sort of half thought the same thing myself, so good to have somebody else confirm my thinking. Appreciate your time

I found me a 90's Armani suit, incoming from our own 'eazye'. I asked for fit pics first, and he's ok with me sharing them. I'm roughly the same build, so it should look similiar on me.

Any tips on styling? I was thinking black or white t-shirt, and my GAT sneakers.

Neck sweat may stain the suit collar worn with just a t-shirt, but maybe I should just stop caring about that stuff.

I can't see the pics for some reason.

I have never even considered neck sweat stains tbh. It's never entered my mind.

Should work now I think.

Alright, will file this under "stop caring."

I think the way it styled in pictures is fine. Just stick to more "fine" t shirt. When I wear suits I usually do the same or go with turtleneck.
Nowadays I never wear suit with dress shirts, cause it just feels very "menswear" "friday" and etc.
For footwear I will stick with something more dressy maybe derbies or loafers, but sneakers will work fine.

Yeah thats a t-shirt from h&m that's at least a decade old lol. Wouldn't recommend with that suit. Also, gold toe socks. Again, sorry for the poor quality photos. :sarcasm:
