This is cool. I would like to put something together, but I'm not sure that I have anything that really qualifies as military-esque. Maybe just use a lot of green?

Not a fan of cultures of violence and I don't want to look like it. That goes for gang inspired shit like RO does too.

Probably cheaper than bringing it back/transporting.

Ammo that is unserviceable. These rounds were from the 70s IIRC and the powder had degraded to where the round would be ineffective and cause malfunctions. In this picture you can see this detahseet is from 1967. There are a lot of Cold War and Vietnam munitions still around that are expiring.

    and this:
Although that stuff was just old, we disposed a lot of stuff that they didn't want to ship home for whatever reason like TOW missiles and MCLCs (these are big metal boxes filled with a 1,700 lb rope of c4 blocks attached to a rocket. You shoot them out into a minefield to clear a path and they are as awesome as they sound).

Kind of hard to go military-free when even something as benign as your local Best Buy employee's khakis have their roots in desert bloodshed.

all you need are two extra bedsheets.

    a couple of reasons.

    (1) it's a bit cropped on my long torso.

    but more importantly,

    (2) it's a pretty serious piece, and it actually looks a lot like a bulletproof vest. whenever i've worn it, i've gotten uncomfortable sideways looks from police officers, security guards, and grandmothers.

Interesting challenge. Too bad I don't feel like digging up uniforms and gear. I could forgo the clothing part and just toss say an AR30 or a Barrett over my shoulder while wearing just street clothes.
