Craig Green fall-winter 2016-17 is now available at Suspension Point.

For his fall-winter 2016-17 collection, Craig Green explores the dichotomy between restriction and release. This results in garments that are both conceptual and utilitarian while allowing the wearer the freedom to adjust them through various straps and ties. To make them feel right. To make them feel individual. Echoing this theme are the fabrics, transformed by the designer from luxurious into utilitarian and vice-versa.

Collections from Lemaire and Ffixxed Studios are now online!

    Shop Ffixxed at suspensionpoint.ca.

Ffixxed is a collaborative art and design project founded by Kain Picken and Fiona Lau in 2008. Over the years they have moved the label’s headquarters between Berlin, Hong Kong, New York, and Melbourne, always picking up inspiration from their travels. Now, Ffixxed has established their own in-house production studio and residence in Shenzhen, China. Located at the foot of the picturesque Wutong Mountain, a multifunctional living, creative, and production space has been created that shifts and adjusts around the needs of various Ffixxed projects. This unique workspace has led to a preoccupation with the role and function of clothing in relation to the varying facets of everyday life. The resulting garments showcase distinctive concepts and innovative ideas while always being comfortable and easy to wear.

    Shop Lemaire at suspensionpoint.ca.

The Parisian designer, Christophe Lemaire, designs clothing that he would like to wear himself. He launched his eponymous label in 1991 after having worked alongside such luminaries as Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler, and Christian Lacroix. While continuing to expand his independent company, in 2010 Christophe Lemaire took on the position of artistic director at Hermes women’s ready-to-wear. The collections he produces are imbued with an elegant, quiet sense of luxury that allows one to mix and match according to the mood and moment. The wearer’s wardrobe is timeless yet wholly personal at the same time.

And to catch up on some (semi) recent updates to the store:

We've introduced a new designer, Emiliano Rinaldi, to Suspension Point's selection.

Emiliano Rinaldi, the Italian born-and-based designer, launched his namesake label in 2011. This was a natural step for him; he began his career working for the family business which specializes in industrial and product design. For Emiliano, becoming a designer was a calling, not just a choice: “I have always looked for harmony, beauty, sensitivity, and sensuality in the people and things I encounter.” His collections mix elegant tailoring with modern interpretations of luxury loungewear. There is always a hint of decadence in the silhouette, feel, and details to make the wearer feel special (whilst remaining composed and comfortable). A new take on classic Italian design which isn’t afraid to look both to the future and the past for inspiration.

Forme D'Expression's latest collection is available at Suspension Point.

Forme D’Expression (also known as Forme 3’3204322896) was founded by designer Koeun Park in 2005 and is based in Perugia, Italy. As a label, Forme D’Expression speaks softly, but possesses strength and elegance in equal measure. This sense of balance makes her work timeless and suitable for any occasion, allowing the wearer to explore and express one’s own individuality. For the construction of the garments themselves, Park’s philosophy is to make sure no corners are cut throughout the entire process. She achieves this by developing the raw materials alongside the weavers, doing the majority of the pattern-making herself, and continuously experimenting with new garment treatments in-house. In Perugia, she lives within a ten minute drive of all the people involved in the realization of her vision.

@rydenfan For the Jacket Time we would recommend you go true-to-size / you regular Schneider outerwear size (this is based on our showroom observations). Especially in the coated houndstooth fabric you don't want it to be too tight (and it is a great style / fabric to layer under - so having that option is good).

On the Forme convertible coat, does the upper pocket not have a flap on the black alpaca or is it just tucked in on the pictures? There are flaps on both upper and lower in the grey linen.

@oulipien Good catch! The Forme D'Expression Convertible coat has three flap pockets at the front. Certain photos show the black version of the coat with the flaps tucked in (from being tried on in the showroom). Might be my fault actually...I spent quite a bit of time walking around in that coat in the showroom as the fabric felt so nice.
