I think it's a great, easy, and non-messy lunch. Which are your favorite types, and where do you get yours from?

Mine are:

Toro
Soft Shell Crab
Sea Bass
Prawn (Ebi)
Bream
Prawn Tempura

I get my Sushi from:

Itsu (Draycott Avenue, Chelsea)
Wasabi (Finsbury Pavement, Moorgate)
Zuma (Raphael Street, Knightsbridge)
Nobu Berkeley (Berkeley Street, Mayfair)

A lot of the people I know who claim they "like sushi" are talking about cucumber maki. It cracks me up to see how suburban white america has expanded its horizons to eating rice and cucumber rolled up inside some seaweed (drowned in soy sauce, no less). How exotic!

I usually have some toro/maguro to start. Then saba/hamachi. Then Ebi/takko. If I eat Maki, its usually a spider roll. Things that I've had so far that I DIDN'T like: Ankimo (monkfish liver)... what can I say except that it tastes exactly like what a bottom feeding ugly fish liver sounds like. Uni. Sea Urchin caviar. I almost lost my lunch when I put this in my mouth. Its undescribable.

One thing about sushi is that I really could not care less whether it's nigiri or any type of maki, I'm only bothered about what's in it...
Save for California rolls, because I cannot fit them in my mouth.

When the ingredients are good and fresh and the sushi master is talented it really doesn't matter what is used. It is all heavenly.

But my favorites are:
Unagi
Anago
Tako
Toro
Hamachi
Kanimiso

Fish I only like as sashimi. If I'm making a meal out of it, I usually order hamachi and toro as sashimi, and uni, amaebi, anago, and ikura as sushi.

I believe you are referring to fugu. Tempura is deep frying food (usually seafood and vegetables) in batter.

Okay, not sushi, but I feel the need to declare my love for unadon. (grilled eel over rice). Problem is, in the US, they never give you enough of the eel.
