I went to the mall this weekend and my mom dragged me into this store and im like oh **** because its a store that looks like its meant for younger women and my mom aint young. Well to my surprise they have a mens section with some great looking button down shirts. I have been looking for a good tailored fit/slim fit shirt and these where perfect. Great quality and not bad prices. Definitely a european style and perfect for the ones looking for the slim fit. The brand is United Colors of Benetton. The stuff on there website doesnt look as good as I saw in the store but I walked out with 3 great button downs for what I think is a great price.

Yeah, Benetton's under the radar on the these forums. I can't attest to quality though but I do know a lot of people who swear by the brand for basics.

Years and years ago I had a slim-fit dark brown (almost black) plain, no-pocket button front from Benneton and I liked it well-enough for the price (I think it was on sale for less than $30, IIRC). Before H&M, Zara, and the like, it was tough to find inexpensive slimmer button-fronts on this side of the pond, so I quite liked the shirt at the time. Nevertheless, I hadn't heard much at all from them in years and after I gave the shirt away, I had completely forgotten about them.

How much were they, out of curiosity? I can't remember how much Benetton used to be, but while they weren't bargain-basement, they didn't seem to be ridiculously priced for what they were. But, again, this was probably 8-10 years ago...

I remember when I was in the Benneton in Georgetown, walking from the third floor to the first, and the lady in front of me dropped her cellphone down the (very slick) stairs, and it slid down all three flights. I laughed so ******* hard as she chased it down the stairs.

"Benetton" has actually been around for many, many years.
