I almost bought a green lantern t-shirt yesterday but then I thought, "what a *****".

Green Lantern never really seemed that tough (although I never really followed the comic).

This got me thinking, what are the cool superheroes / villians? I think spiderman is my favorite. Anyone read or follow comics? I only follow them minimally.

(Thanos is my all-time favorite character, though).

I like the Original Ghost Rider.. as depicted by Stern/Budiansky. Especially the final few issues as Zarathos emerges...

Ghost Rider was great; heard a rumour a while back that a movie was in the works, but don't know if anything is forthcoming.

I have a vintage Dr. Strange/Spiderman-in-black t-shirt from my youth that i wear constantly-----it is the most comfy t-shirt i own in that very thin 80's cotton sort of way.

I just looked on imdb and Nicholas Cage is playing the ghost rider and Eva Mendes is Roxanne. Never read the Ghost Rider.

Does Happy Noodle Boy count as a "hero"? He certainly saved me!

Miller era Daredevil was tops. Had a very "batman" dark feel to it. Even after Miller left and DG Chichester was writing, there were some awesome storylines that were just as good as Miller's.

Sandman and all of Neil Gaiman's graphic novels are still at the top for me.

Dude, I swear we are related. I saw the topic title and was immediately going to come in here and represent Miller era DD. Especially "Born Again". God I love that story. DD is totally my favorite. More people know his secret identity than don't.
Plus the David Mazzucchelli artwork in Born Again is sweet.

If only that douchebag DD movie hadn't ruined everything...

Also Dr. Strange is rad, Spiderman, The Punisher, Bloodshot, Namor, and Firestorm are amongst my all time favorites.
