One word doesn't negate what I said about the other. **** isn't derogatory here. It just isn't, regardless of what you may think or say.

You're absolutely right ...

Different countries have different social mixes and **** can have different tones /meanings in the UK and Australia...

If you use that word towards a co-worker in the UK , you will be sacked on the spot or on a written warning...

Which is fair enough. When I travel, I make sure to be as aware as I possibly can be of the social mores of the country I'm in. I certainly wouldn't use that term in the UK. But there isn't a problem using it here in Australia.
