Im looking at getting a new suit in super 130 fabric. Im concerned is it seems very lightweight compared to my previous buy. I have at the moment a H&S Super 100 approx 300gm weight which i like the feel of.

The fabric im considering is scabal super 130 280gm weight. The tailor assured me the weave will ensure it is just as hard wearing as the H&S super 100 but im not 100% sure. Any opinions would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I would advise against it, but I'm the type that shies away from a "Super" count of anything over 100. I currently wear a Super 90 wool suit, and it's light enough for my purposes. Your mileage may vary, as the saying goes, but keep in mind potential durability and longevity issues that come with owning a suit made from such fine wools.

super 130's is fine, your typical OTR suit say by BB or RL, are typically about a super 120's.

I have a couple of blazers in VBC Super 130 in about the same fabric weight that I have given a lot of use to over the past six years or so. They're still in fine shape.

I just had a jacket and trousers made in Reda Super 130's cloth by Mabro in Tuscany. Both garments are beautiful to wear and remain looking good after some very long days at work. The weight of the cloth is 250g which is perfect for multi-seasonal use. In this day and age of constant air conditioning I would be reluctant to go for a heavier cloth. Enjoy.
