I think I've now made some of the best screenshots from the movie MR 73 for you experts out there to come up with right type of glasses that Daniel Auteuil is wearing in this film. Man, I hope so much one of you might know what glasses he is wearing.

msg - they're just the standard Persol 714's. You can see in the pic that the arm hinges down - on the McQueen model they hinge inward.

About to purchase some Randolph Engineering Aviators:

52MM (this is my RX glasses size), Gun Metal frame, Grey Polarized Lens, Skull temples

Anything I should switch in your opinion? I am pretty set on the gun metal frame, but wavering a bit on the lenses. I do not want the tint to be super dark..

Persol can easily be had below retail. There are a few spots online that are much cheaper than retail. Thinking of picking up some 2994s soon.

I've bought 3 or 4 pairs at Saks Off Fifth recently for less than $100 a piece... great deal. FramesDirect has also had a few good deals when the BOGO sale kicks in.

Wondering if anyone has had this problem....My persol 649s have developed a defect in the upper part of both lenses. Its like a circular rainbowish effect on the lenses. The glasses arent even a year old and I bought them from one of the sellers on ebay.

just picked up theses Samas in a slightly different colorway.. a bit more gold and greenish-blue than bronze and black.... polarized lenses, titanium frames, fit like a dream and look great! I'm loving them so far.
