I'm also looking at the ray-ban 3025... they have both a large (55) and medium (53) version... the 3362 were large (60).

Would getting a 55 or 53 make that much a difference? Doesn't seem like it would be a huge leap in appearance? Dunno...

And question... looking at my pics would the gold frames work on me or should i stick to black/silver/gunmetal?

    Try #3...

Ok i ordered some pairs from zappos because they offer free returns... i ordered the 3025(55) medium and 3025 large(58).

Unfortunately they sent me both pairs wrong! Blargh. They sent the medium 55 in gold instead of black, and they sent me freakin 3026 black instead of 3025 in gunmetal. The 3026 are 62 and are pretty much jumbo sized.

So... even though theyre gold and make me feel silly, here are the size "55", are they way too small? They fit kinda smaller on my face and the arm tips start to bend right before they even hit my ears. Would the next size up (58) be any better? Or should i just stop trying Aviators haha For reference the 3362 i posted earlier in the thread are listed as 59.

from all the options posted i like this style the best. size of lens is good on your face, the shape balances out your head, and they aren't too wide like the other RB. id keep these for now...

is there anything preventing you from actually going into a store and trying a bunch of different things on? kind of hard to pick new styles if you haven't tried anything on yet.

Haha during the week yeah, i get off work around 530-6, pick up my son from daycare, take him home feed bathe put him to sleep... then i'm tired and have no one to watch him. This weekend i can head to the mall or something. I really hate standing around in stores but oh well. Not like i have much choice :p

Went out to lunch with a friend today and stopped by sunglass hut, intending to walk out with a pair of the 55mm ray-ban 3025 but ended up being helped by an attendant and purchasing a pair of ray-ban 60mm 3342 "warrior" after trying on a million things in nearly every brand they had in the store. The regular flat shaped aviators just pushed off my head a little funny even in the smaller sizes.

I don't know why the model is called the warrior, its a wrap around modernized aviator and looks a little feminine like the 3362 but fit me WAY better than those did. Either way, i'm happy with them and i think i'm gonna pick up a second color in the same style.

I got gunmetal with gradient brown lenses which sounds weird but actually work on me, and then i prob wanna get the gunmetal w darn green lenses next.

    Sunglasses... FINALLY. haha

^^ The pics are a little fuzzy... they look the same on my monitor? I like them both either way though... [IMG]

Here are some quick pics i snapped... i was coincidentally wearing a brown T to work today, it may have swayed my purchasing decision... i liked the shape and all but it was either gunmetal w brown gradient lenses, or gunmetal green polarized lenses and polarized made me feel funny vision wise.

I do see that they make regular gunmetal w green lenses i am considering getting them too...

Whatcha think? Yay or nay? I have 90 days to return em.

They're still a lil big n bug eyed, but wrap around so they more fitted instead of pushing off my face like the flat aviators.

Man those Rayban i got already have some small scratches on the lenses... i've worn them maybe 5 times and absolutely babied them and kept them in the case with nothing in there that could scratch them... do glass lenses just scratch really easily? They're the brown gradient but i think they're scratched on the outside. Didn't expect that so soon, esp as delicately as i've treated them...

[IMG] I'll be rocking these with some blue canvas shoes and my blue omega seamaster professional. I think the wayfarers are more for the bules brothers. Get some frogskins with black lenses if you want something that is not made anymore and is in high demand ~Derek

I actually really like Oakely sunglasses. They don't skimp on the quality of the lenses like some of the "fancier" brands. I really don't like when designer sunglasses cost so much and have crap lenses, since its $500 price tag is only justified by the designer label. I use them mainly for driving, hunting, and fishing but I'll wear them around casually too. They do have a "sportier" look but some people really like that.

I wear mostly these: RayBan RB3217 58s, [IMG] They were supposed to be my beaters, and they are, except I find myself wearing them almost exclusively they arent even what I would have bought for myself they were given to me. My "favorite" pair (though I dont wear them since the 3217s came along) is a RayBan Aviator but they are more square than round or teardrop. I cannot find them anymore This is the closest pic I can find, mine are silver frame with grey lenses though... [IMG] On raceday, I rock theeeeeeseeeessssse: Nicky Hayden Oil Rigs. Love them. [IMG] yay sunglasses.
