I have a minor addiction to sunglasses. The problem is at $400 a pair it is getting unsustainable. There was an interesting thread on here awhile ago that discussed all of the manufacturers that Hermes uses. I thought the same thing might be helpful with sunglasses, to see if getting quality frames at a cheaper price was an option.

Does anybody know the factories/manufacturers for brands like Purple Label, Persol, Oliver Peoples, Tom Ford, etc.?

Tom Ford eyewear is all made in Italy; I'm not sure where you got the idea an image-whore like Ford would ever allow "Made in China" to make it onto one of this products.

I've heard Paulo Albasini manufactures for some of the higher end labels, but I can't seem to find any verification.
