Rayban made a pair of those back in the mid 1990s, I remember owning a pair (and they went astray). I can't remember the name though.

This is the first of these threads I've seen that is worthy of a response. I believe they are some flavor of Ray Ban but I'll be damned if I know the model.

No doubt. Those are striking. Probably haven't been made since Clinton was in office though.

damn. just checked the Ray Ban site and came up with nothing. here are the Banana Republic Charles sunglasses that look similar, although, I don't know if they're considered cheap by sunglasses standards:

Check out Barton Perreira, they made something pretty close. Conquest, maybe?

Another option if you like the ones posted from Banana Republic is the Salt Optics Nicholas. Much more expensive, but worlds better.

Come to think of it, if you can find the Mosley Tribes Bronson, they are pretty close lookswise.

I think you're right. although, my only point of reference for these shades is a picture of The Rock sporting a pair - they don't look good on him

Hi. I'm pretty sure I have a pair of these that I bought in the late 80's (I know the film was '93) and they were badged as ray-ban USA Olympic team issue from 1984. I'll see if I can take a photo of them or find the model number.
