Thanks for the comments. Any thoughts as to matching trousers to make a DB BlazerSuit (TM)? On one hand it would be more versatile. On the other hand, am I ever going to wear a DB suit during the summer (or ever for that matter)? DB suits are so out of fashion currently that it has to come back in the next 10 years or so right?

Wear what looks good, and that'll come from working with your tailor. I have three DB suits, two flannel and one summer mohair, plus a navy DB with blue and bronze buttons. I like them all. Don't sweat the fashion idea.

That said, a navy DB is to my eye so clearly a blazer that I couldn't wear matching pants. The one above is more distinctive yet because of the fabric, the buttons, and the two tasche a toppa.

There's no such thing as 2x2, do you mean 2x1? Or 4x2?

That's what I was getting at. I also think a blue DB is more an odd jacket than a suit. I have a 6x2 Lesser 13 oz which is great, but only usable when the weather is suitably cold.

I might make this summer version a 4x2 with MOP buttons just to have some variation. Still would be unwearable during the dog days of summer though.

A suit made of a coat that will pass for a blazer and so can be worn alone, and matching pants.
