Summer Wedding in Pennsylvania

I am getting married on June 28th 2014 in Pennsylvania. Our ceremony and reception is on a farm with a barn. We live in Colorado and will have significant travel and also planning this thing has been nuts. Family in central PA has influenced the location, etc... anyhow. I want to wear a suit, not a tux and am torn on style and color. I want to wear a slim-fit suit, something simple and cool. Cool looking and potentially cool fabric too, since it will be outside. Light colors don't look awesome on me for some reason, maybe it is just me being really picky which I am.

Sort of digging the lightweight ludlow from JCREW in navy.

Would navy be a bad choice? Is the italian Chino material going to wrinkle like crazy?

There were a few at Brooks Bros I looked at too that were sweet, similar cut and more traditional suiting material.

Any suggestions? Navy not a good choice for wedding?

Thanks!!!! Just looking to get more advice.

This thread - http://www.styleforum.net/t/329568/official-wedding-attire-question-answer-picture-thread and the various threads linked to therein are worth reading.

Navy is a fine colour for a wedding suit: get the one from Brooks Bros in the more traditional suiting cloth and it will serve you well for any other suit wearing occasions that crop up in your life.

Incidentally, I went to a wedding in a barn on a farm once, the theme was rural, everyone wore tweed and there was straw on the ground. It was great fun.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Thanks! I am going to go look at the brooks brothers stuff again. A tweed suit could be rad, typically I associate tweed with winter/fall but I do like that look and saw recently a nice dark gray tweed suit...

Do you think that material is not suited for june in PA--- humid and hot... yikes.

Thanks.

Yes you'd melt in tweed in June, I was just throwing that out there.
