I need advice on summer pants for the office. I'm looking for some very light material, but I'm not sure if linen is appropriate for office work.

Definitely depends on your working environment. In most offices, they are not, but have a look at your co-workers: if jeans are ok, I guess linen pants are as well. Best alternative: lightweight wool trousers are accepted everywhere, they don't look as wrinkled as linen trousers do after 10 seconds, and they are not mistaken as leisure outfit.

Well, what is your age and profession, and how do other people in your office dress? That's a starting point. Also, what's your geographical location?

Mohair blends. Cool in the lighter weights and very crisp looking. Tropical weight worsted wools also wear very cool.

Seersucker might work, too. But if you are concerned about linen, it might not be an option.

Location: South America, almost summer here
Temperature: 30 ºC or 86ºF, with 99% humidity at summer.
My age: 30, overweight and short height :p

My co-workers use cotton mix dress pants, some use long sleeves shirt with ties, but i prefer to use short sleves shirts without tie, since i connmute on public transportation which equals as a public sauna.

Lightweight wool seems a good choice, i'm searching on ebay but i prefer trousers without inner lining, any advice on how to find these kind on ebay?

Type in "unlined"?

Based on your description of the office, linen probably is okay and linen blended with cotton almost certainly is okay. Africa is not the USA, so seersucker might stand out as odd.
