Summer navy blazer: Fresco or Scabal Cashmere-Cotton

Thinking about a summer blazer. I just took delivery of a blazer in 13 ounce serge, and while it is very nice, I think it will be too warm for summer. The fabric is also a tad too serious for wearing with khakis or jeans, so I might throw gold buttons on it and make it my "formal" blazer and commission a second more casual/versatile jacket.

I'm divided between a wool fresco and Scabal's cashmere-cotton blend fabric. Anyone have an opinion on either fabric for a versatile summer blazer? I'm mainly curious about the ability of the fresco to be dressed down and the ability of the cotton-cashmere to be dressed up. I'm also concerned about the durability/wear-and-tear on the Scabal blend. I wouldn't want to get a blazer that I need to get cleaned/pressed every week, or one that would turn to shit after a year of heavy wear.

Thoughts?

This is a late reply. I recently came into a beautiful bespoke Scabal Cashmere-Cotton blazer. I love it. I live in New Zealand. So it's perfect for our hot summers here. However, I don't wear it that often out of fear of ruining it. How did you get on with yours?
