I am looking for a summer jacket and have read a few threads on SF regarding summer blends but can't seem to find anything conclusive. I do know that I do not like the look of a solid linen sport coat and to a lesser extent the solid cotton one. Out of these blends, which one has the best combination of look and comfort in hot weather?

Linen/Wool
Linen/Silk
Linen/Cotton
Lightweight wool

I also saw a Linen/Poly Jacket from Armani Collezioni (30% poly) at Harry Rosen. Despite being a bit surprised, would it still breathe because of the linen, or is this ultimately Armani cutting costs. I did like the look of the jacket but couldn't get past the blend.

Weight matters to.

I have a few winter jacket that are 100% cotton and wear warm. A 100% cotton overcoat that's fine most days.

Lightweight wool for the office.

Linen/cotton for more casual affairs. I find a 70/30 linen/cotton ratio is light enough without looking like a rag.

I also once noticed that mohair was a favourable blend but it seems hard to find.

Just noticed, Calgary, as in Canada. Do you really have summer there, what week is that.

Tropical weight wool is the best.
