Since joining StyleForum just over two years ago, I've read countless threads, asked my fair share of stupid questions, and purchased an entirely new wardrobe. Most importantly though, I've grown a deep love for dress shoes through the entire process. It began with the meticulous bookmarking of my favorite threads, which soon became concise summaries of the best answers, and has since turned into a one-stop resource I find myself coming back to over and over again.

As I've recently been learning how to build websites, I was thinking that I could create a site that would host the best posts on dress shoes that I've curated and summarized. The site could also be made to allow for article submission for anyone looking to try their hand at writing. The thought is similar to the wiki but would start with much more information and better organization. Looking two years back, I would have certainly benefited from the efficiency of a single organized resource. What took me a couple of years scouring the archives (not knowing what I didn't know) could instead be casually read from front to back over the course of a single week. I think of it more as a step-by-step manual rather than answers to one-off questions.

If there is interest, I could build a nice functional site in about two weeks. Let me know what you think.

I'd certainly appreciate it. As a brand new member and student looking to build a professional wardrobe from the ground-up, I'd imagine it'd be rather helpful for someone in my position.

I think this picture summarizes all SF dress shoe threads quite succinctly

I like how the grey of the sock toe accentuates the tasteful thin pink line of the sock which reflects almost exactly the pink of the skin. A touch made all teh more subtle by not being visible when actually wearing the shoes.

The matching of the ginger follicles of the hirsute leg with the ginger colour of the shoes is the sort of stylish touch one can only learn from reading the online forums. Well done.

I'm getting sick of OTC long socks and might commission a pair of these below the ankles sockettes. Deets please on the sockettes before I pull the trigger.

This is off topic, but you should take a professional writing course or something. That post couldn't be more uselessly long. I gave up reading and skimmed after the first few sentences.
