I just realized they'd been doing this. Their measurement instructions are definitely wrong. And they won't acknowledge that they're cutting them differently from the website instructions. So now I'm stuck with a couple I threw in the wash without thinking about the issue on.

I know, right? They tell you one thing, the website states another and the shirt you get is a different beast altogether. At least now I know how to order my next shirt. SuitSupply's cost quality ratio is still one of the best

Agree. And fortunately it's only about 1/4" off for me on the watch hand. So I can just move the button a tiny bit on the few shirts I washed before checking the measurements. Not perfect, but I'll make do and keep it in mind for my next order.

How high? Is this the Cary Grant, up by the armpits?

Braddon is not very high - it is actually mid-rise as it sits just below the belly button. It is not a very good fit in my opinion as it is a very skinny fit with a super aggressive taper that is rather disproportionate.

Sounds like you should size up, because this is not my experience at all.

On me it sits about 1 cm below my bellybutton.

Agree that the Braddon (on me) is overly tapered and ill-fitting. Maybe going two sizes up and taking in the waist would make it acceptable.

Experiences may vary - as always. Sizing up would not be an option for me as they already are too wide in the waist rendering the side adjusters useless and the unpleasing proportions would be even more exaggerated.

I have attached a couple of photos below. I have somewhat muscular thighs and therefore a slightly larger seat. The cut of these trousers exaggerates these enormously, making the upper half of my legs look like blocks of wood - there simply is too much taper for my body. My legs and seat are not comically large as these trousers make them seem like.

Does anyone know if there’s a time limit on free alternations on custom made gear?

At least 6 months. I got a new custom made suit and my custom made specialist suggested that I wear it for a few months, even 6 months, and bring it back after I've had a chance to feel out the suit. There might not be a time limit at all.

Good post thanks for the pics. Unfortunately if you are not super tall and super slim, you can often forget about trying suit supply trousers. I’m 6ft2 and 175 lbs and still find the taper is ridiculous.
however, i really need to try them on as sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised.
on that note, I’m looking for casual pants for this summer preferably linen. I see they have this Ames collection with drawstring which would fill my needs. Anyone have experience with them? Find price a little steep at 199usd...

wierd Thing happened to me. I dropped a suit to be tailored around February, the store closed for pandemic reasons but reopened in March. in April went to pick them up, didnt have time to try them on in store, when I arrived home and tried them on later noticed they didn’t do anything... maybe it got lost In the todo pile... im sure they’ll have it in their system, customer experience is great at susu but this explanation and conversation will feel a tad absurd!

Haha! I bet it was a deja vu feeling—“I’m pretty sure I had this altered, but ... it looks and feels exactly the same.” Agreed that their customer service is amazing and I feel like the store staff will make this right. Good luck!

Definitely looks too tight around the seat and down the legs.

Perhaps you should try to Long instead of the Regular. The upper size may be more spacious.

Also, maybe the model just doesnt work for you. I've heard others saying SS trousers ruin everything for them, but havent seen it in person before.

Yup, this fit simply does not suit me, and I really do not see much point in experimenting with sizes - but your advice may definitely help those who do not have such extreme issues with the fit! The Bolzano fit was a lot better for me, but I tend to not buy ready-to-wear from Suitsupply - everything is much better from the custom made programme. If Braddon and their ready-to-wear trousers work for others, then by all means: go for it! It is all about one of the main mantras of this forum: your milage may vary! So many exclamation marks - why am I yelling?

They just opened a store in NYC. Anyone been? How's the quality/fit?
they are good for the price. They have really nice fabrics and nice colors away from the regular dark blue and grey you see in American stores but bear in mind it’s not CORNELIANI etc level but also not at that price point either. Nice for everyday wear with a fresh look in my opinion. Pant legs are slim which I hate but you can have custom made at slightly more which is well worth it.
