I have the exact same drop. Am 30 in the waist and 40 in the chest. I also weightlift at the gym, but nothing drastically I would say compared to some on-steroid fellows there ..

Trouble is that if I order the 40 suit, it usually come up with the 34 trousers .. So there is a excess of 4 inch right out of the box in waist alone ..

The 32 trousers are good everywhere else except in the waist. So, I usually purchase them and get those 2 inch off at tailor. What a mess, ha?

That's why I tend to purchase the trousers and jackets separately - mix and match .. Something that SS started offering recently. Hope they will add more choices ..

this is what I meant originally. what I should have said was "how did you get a 30 pant from suit supply with a 40 jacket?" So I guess same question...you were able to swap out pant sizes?

It's a feature SS has implemented recently, but exclusively regarding Havana suiting. Might be a possibility only given to European customers for now though (since you seem unaware of this).

EDIT:

Here's a screenshot:

There are also several Napoli's that offer seperate trousers.

Yes but the difference being you would have to buy these in addition to the suit. So, you would basically end up having a complete Napoli suit with an extra pair of ill-fitting trousers.

The new option corrects this issue.

Incorrect. You can swap trousers on a number of Napoli suits as well as the Havana above. But you do need to contact their CS for this or visit a store.

Ha! Partially incorrect then... But I'll stand corrected.

Does anyone have the 3 piece havana flannel in houndstooth. Does it actually have side tabs, as pictured? If it does, that may be just enough reason for me to purchase it. I've liked it since the release, but never had noticed the side tabs.

Guys, just received my new la spalla suit. It's navy birds eye and made from EThomas ss150. I foun the la spalla very slim- I had to size up-. Absolutely love it, but is this ss150 cloth too delicate to be used as a work suit?

Not sure if this sort of post is frowned upon but since I'm not trying to make a profit off of it I figured it would be fine to post.

I've got a Roma fit (?) brown birdseye suit in 36R that I'd like to get rid of. I bought it off eBay and unfortunately it fits bigger than I had hoped. More like a 38R, I can get details for those interested.

Also open to trades for similar suits in a 36S or a Susu overcoat!

This is my madison from last year - was a pain as I had to order a 42 to fit my chest/shoulders, mid section and sleeves were MASSIVE had to lose functioning buttons, I am a 32 waist had to tailor it from a 36!! I hope they make different sizes available for all suits in future! I went to the london store for a coat fitting last week, awaiting for them to send it me now - took up the sleeves from the shoulder so it takes a bit longer, should be worth it though!

Yea I recently had my Madison tailored also. The jacket was tailored with no problem(usual waist surpression and shorten sleeve length) but the pants needed major work.I had to taper the pants because I felt they were too wide. Making the waist go from 36 to about 33 was major work also.

Still worth it regardless. A lovely suit once tailored
