They told me 4-6 weeks and it's going to be almost 8, so don't rely on their estimate if you really need the suit.

    S110 was $650 plus tax

Ahh I guess I need to see. 3-5 for fully canvas vs 4-6 for half.

I am actually stopping by the store today. Lets see if they can pump it out quick for me.

What other prices did you see for the half canvas line?

What do you guys think? Washington Suit.

The big thing that sticks out is the sleeves. Can that be fixed by rotating the sleeve head? Thoughts on fit?

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone!

I'm new in this thread and new to Suitsupply but I'm trying to figure out which size fits me best. I started out with a Havana Linen Jacket in 40L and while it was a snug but comfortable fit on my body I had a big collar gap. The 42L was better in the collar, but long both in body and sleeves. I'm now hoping that a 42R will be the solution, fingers crossed ...

I'm 190 cm, 80 kg (6' 3", 164 lbs). Anyone who's about my size who can give me some advice?

I love this look (The shirt, tie, suit combo), so simple and bold.

If that is in a SuitSupply store that has a tailor, just ask them about rotating the sleeves.

Fit looks great to me based on these pictures.

Yeah, for $1000, Samuelsohn would get into the mix for me.

Counterfeiters are going after SS now? :wow:

Samuelsohn made the Paul Stuart suits I have; they make great suits. I would recommend them over the high-end range from Suitsupply. However, if you want something more "fashion forward," Suitsupply might still be better.

Epaulet is having some of their jackets made by Samuelsohn now: http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/suits-outerwear/Sportcoats
They told me at the store that they can make any sportcoat into a suit for an extra charge.

    @coldsalmon and @bellyhungry

Are the mentioned suit brands American? I've never heard any of them. I think I read somewhere that suit supply was decent value in Europe, and less so (but still ok) in America. I live in Norway, and as far as I know, the only locally available fully canvassed suits would be Armani suits for well over $3000 (yeah). The only bespoke tailor in town charges $2500.

In that context, would you say the La Spalla and Sienna seem like decent value?

Those epaulet jackets have even smaller lapels than most suitsupply suits. It's a shame, because they look quite nice.

When I was in Chicago I was told the range is $650 to over $1700.

Ahh. I am taking a look at the fabrics today. I wear a size 32 there and I feel like it just doesnt fit short enough (jacket pockets are too low) and the pants could fit slimmer so thats why I might opt to do mtm instead of OTR.

If you can, give us the low down on the experience - I'm probably going to pull the trigger in a few months, and would love to hear a bit more about how the process works.

Yes, Paul Stuart is American and Samuelsohn is Canadian. For comparisons of suit quality, check out this thread and see if you see any brands that look familiar:

I have not tried the La Spalla and Sienna lines in a while, but I remember the La Spalla being noticeably better than the cheaper suits to my eye. I don't really like the Sienna. However, I am a noob, so my advice is of limited quality. I definitely can't tell you anything about value for money in the Norwegian market. What you should really do is PM some of the Styelforum Gods from Scandinavia. Those guys really clean up in the Friday Challenges.
