Can the Washington suits be compared to any other brands/collections? I've been looking at one on their website(the plain blue), and it looks pretty damn nice. I noticed that they presented it as one of their slimmest suits, but somehow their measurements lead me to 38R, while their other suits I seem to fit 40R (according to the measurement charts).

Are those charts trustworthy, or should one mail their customer service to double check?

Hi all.

I've been a lurker for a few months, browsing and searching through threads to find opinions and reviews on several suits before purchasing my next one, and this thread (as well as the discussions/pics/reviews/general interest) caused me to purchase a suit from SS and join SF as a member.

In fact, I'm not even sure if I should be posting here, but just thought I'd pop in to say thank you all for freely giving information on this and many other vendors. The suit I just purchased from SS is only my third suit, but I'm sure it'll be the first of many after getting some feedback and opinions from the folks around here.

Good day!

I think you meant to say it's wool-silk by **** you we lied! Raising prices, hidden poly. Not inspiring a lot of confidence here SS.

Went to SS last night. Sadly my size there is a 36S in the Napoli and Lazio. They didn't have any fabrics I was looking for in either cuts and the selection was extremely limited for the size. I could alter a 34R to fit me everywhere but the sleeve because of the working button holes I can't get the sleeve shortened by the inch it needed. That being said the 36S fit almost perfectly off the rack, so much so that I probably would only have to get the pants hemmed.

I guess I'll just have to keep my eye open and snatch something when it comes available online.

Does anyone know if the in-store prices are cheaper than online (Europe)? It would make sense for it to be cheaper since the 1-day shipping and covering import duties costs a good sum for them.

Doubtful, cause they probably make up for the online shipping cost by making that extra margin in the store.

You should email this to customer service with a "WTF?".

I have found the charts are generally close, save for some inconsistencies that creep in from time to time if you compare two different suits in the same cut. However, whole I do not own a Washington I have tried one on. I wear a 38 in the Napoli, just bought a 38 in the Lazio, and that 38 Wash was definitely trimmer in the shoulders. If I ordered one I would get a 40 and 38 to compare again.
