Random question, and perhaps this may not be the best thread to ask this. Suit Supply's Sienna suits come with "sous bras," pads on the inside of the jacket, under the armpits, that help absorb perspiration.

Does anyone know whether these can be installed on jackets after the fact? Or do they have to be placed when the jacket is first made?
anything can be done (especially if you alter the insides that no one sees), its just a matter of price.
But why bother spending on those? unless the fit with susu is spot on, other brands install sous bras for the same price point (or less). Have a look at spier and mackay. When i first received my stuff with them i was very (pleasantly) surprised, so many extra details than susu!
I think sous bras are a nice touch but havnt worn my suits long enough to notice the added benefits. time will tell :p

That's an excellent point and thank you! With some of these features, my question is always how much of this actually makes a difference in longevity and how much of this is simply a nice touch without much utility. But, I do agree, that the smaller touches show that a company pays attention to details and isn't simply going to do something because it is the cheapest option.

I am definitely interested in S&M. Only issue is that I have a decent fit with Suit Supply, since we have a store locally. And I would really like to try on S&M at their store in person, and I am definitely not able to visit Toronto anytime soon. (I don't trust myself enough to assess fit by ordering via the mail and looking at myself or getting someone to take photos. :p Nothing beats an in-person assessment.)

Ordered a custom made suit on May 4th, delivery in three weeks would be May 25th. Fingers crossed they can hit that.
Hopefully you have better luck than me
I have had 3 custom made orders and none of them hit their expected ship date and that was before they said it would only take 2-3 weeks

I just ordered a jacket in April 26 and I just got an email today that it just left their workshop and it’s on the way to the warehouse...another email will follow when they ship it out to me. So it will probably be around 5 weeks total. I’m not complaining though they might want to adjust their projected delivery times.

nice! you always post great content, kudos! (you must have a massive wardrobe haha
i wanna see more jort suits:) shame they retired and renamed the la spalla. read your article on misiu :)
if I can comment, i have a la spalla too and it flares out on the sides a bit like yours.
do you know why it does this? how can i remedy this? i think its less elegant than my other susu piece (i wear havana)... i look like a pear in this one, emphasizes my hips too much, i am tall and thin and with average hips so im thinking the garment needs tailoring as its only with my laspalla that i look so!
funily enough, i also have the same issue as you too regarding shirtcuff, one side always shows more! why is that? i find that wearing watch doesnt help, but even if i remove it its still there. is ot due to a sloping shoulder? do people alter their shirts to correct that or we're pushing it? :p

Slanted shoulder. The only way to remedy this is either made to measure or if you shorten/lengthen sleeves adjust individually (say 1 cm left 1.5 cm right). Actually my cuffs are fine but since I use a tripod and move all the time they also move 😌 Problems of a solo photo model ha.

I don’t really see the hip problem you mention, my hips are fairly average and I like how it looks but often it has to do with the waist and center back seam. It’s called the skirt effect often.

Does anyone have any experience ordering an unstructured suit through the MTM or new custom program? Interested in how the shoulders have turned out in the jackets.

Suitsupply mtm vs Blugiallo.

Which one would you choose to order a suit from? Has someone tried both?

Looking at your sleeves, you could benefit from a Long size. Also, your trousers sit awfully low (on all the other suits). Take advantage of the well discussed Custom Made program and get Washington/Braddon trousers with a longer jacket. Maybe you'll need to let out the waist / or size up, but it will benefit the overall look for us nitpickers.

Appreciate the tips, but sleeves are fine, this is how I like them and I shortened them 1.5 cm. Long version looks bad on me. Believe me I have tried every jacket when I worked there.

We have been through the pants thing a dozen times here. I am aware of it. I find the Washington fit horrendous. Next time I make something it will be custom.

I picked all these from the outlet for a ridiculous price, so I won’t complain if the pants are too low rise, which they are.

I get it, it was just a general feedback I wanted to share, because you post a lot of pictures of yourself in this thread so whether I like it or not, I see your fits. :D
