Not good. Discuss.
Low rise + pleats and cuffs is something like a Ford Focus with leather seats and Platinum rims.
Arnie wants his suit back
A conscious choice I guess. I think they are inspired by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sales interpretation of Batman (read them if you haven´t, they are great). I always get a feeling of the eighties when I see Batman.
Here was the discussion on the last movie: http://www.styleforum.net/t/71813/the-dark-knight-suit-discussion/0_30
Well seeing as how they didn't get it right with Armani in Batman Begins they clearly decided to start over. Bale should insist that only his stylist from American Psycho can dress him. Those suits were spot on.
He just wants to fit in.
This garment does not flatter his form. Pleated pants, low rise, baggy cut....
It looks like something from Jos. A. Bank
Of course not, I'm not crazy now. The suits are ok for Nolan's world, but watch when a new Batman movie comes out and he has on a new suit everybody is going to be saying what I'm saying now. The suits are ok, but I still think they can be better.
Bangkok Custom Tailor
I think the suits were reminiscent of 1950's to 1960's fashion, and that is how it was portrayedin the earlier versions of Batman..that calls for a looser or baggy fit.
How about posting more than one (crappy) photo of Bale as Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Rises to really make a decision on this.
Maybe because he has to wear Kevlar underneath....After all, he is Bruce Wayne, billionaire extraordinaire.
That just looks terrible, especially for a multibillion character
suit appears to be well made with soft lapel
Maybe they were using Donald Trump as the fashion inspiration.
