Honestly for my first time at MTM ever I thought I did a pretty good job. What I did was self measurements, but I wouldn't advise that. Get a tailor or trusted friend to accurately measure all the measurements you needed.

Secondly what I did is that I had my dad's old suit jacket which was too big, measured that, and showed Jason how it fit on me and what I would rather prefer. This at least gave him a visual and I don't know if it actually helped him or not.
