Everyone,

I have read the recent posts on places to get fabrics and it gets me interested. What I would like and if anyone agrees with me, to create a thread where all the places one can order fabrics from. Lists the name, address, phone number and website if there is one. Also, the written materials pertaining to tailoring, the major brands of suiting and shirting fabrics, etc.
This would be great for the uneducated such as myself can have a single thread to find out such infomation.

Thank You and looking forward to hearing from everyone...

quick note about black and sons: i've been there and have seen there quality. i would not recommend it. their top of the line fabric was a super 150s which i calculated would cost about $500 for the amount required to make a suit. it looked very old and faded. the shoulder pads they sell are foam, and overall i just didn't get a sense of quality from the place.

p.s.
they also carry pure cashmere which they sell for the same price as the super 150s.

Banks, most of your posts in this thread were lost and I guess it was posted before I joined the forum. I'm curious if you still have the info that you posted since I'd like to know more about these fabric dealers, especially those who might carry discounted/close-out inventories. Many thanks.
