I was browsing fabrics in picadilly today. A 150s plain wool navy from Scabal cost £750 for 3 metres. Yet another brand, also 150s was more like £150.

So I would like some advice. Does the brand really matter? If it does, I would like a 10oz wool or wool/cashmere blend in navy - any brand recommendations to get 3 metres of that for about £400?

Thanks.

S130s from DUgdale, respected merchant for 60 GBP a meter http://www.huddersfieldcloth.com/f17...-oz-4419-p.asp They used to have some Golden Bale also on the webiste though I cant find it any longer. You might try contacting them. It was around 150 GBP a meter IIRC (I am not sure) HFW has s120s and cashmere for 80 GBP a meter http://www.hfwltd.com/bobb.php?b=jjm&c=8&p=1 BTW, H&S Target 130s is around 11000 (150 GBP) INR a meter in India. Should be cheaper in the UK Password is 'Trade' in case it asks for one

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
