Apologies if there already exists a thread dealing with my question. I couldn’t find it as I’m style trying to get used to navigating around the forum.
My journey towards building a proper wardrobe has just started and this realization just dawned on me that it’s not a walk in the park.
Coming back to my question, I am considering purchasing a second suit (the first one I just blind bought is a navy RLPL Gregory suit which is still in transit. I would post pictures here for alteration and fit recommendations/ advice once I receive it). For the second one, the two options that are currently under consideration are a Polo Ralph Lauren DB suit (Made in Italy as per the description though I have no idea who currently makes them for PRL) in medium grey or a charcoal S&M single breasted. Both are half-canvassed.
I wanted to ask other respected and experienced members here how do these two compare with each other. PRL suit, even though it’s on sale, still costs more than S&M. How do they compare fit-wise, construction-wise, and fabric quality wise? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions/recommendations in this regard. Thank you.
