I apologize in advance for adding to the deluge of critique requests, but in a recent thread about interview attire, poster mafoofan posted something that got me thinking. He wrote:

"Often, what passes for a young person's suit these days doesn't seem very work-appropriate"

I'm currently a student, and I'm a nervous wreck about finding employment. I have a few interviews ahead (one with a management consulting firm) and I'm concerned now that the suit that I got from Hickey may not be conservative enough. It's pretty damn short, slim fitting, with narrow pants.

I thought the suit looked better on me than a Brooks Brothers suit, but now wondering if I should take it back and get a Brooks Brothers sack. I don't want my suit to the reason I have to move back in with my parents.

So, what say ye? Appropriate for interviews? Yay or nay?

(BTW, pocket square will go away for interviews, and shoes will be black).

The suit is nice. You have nothing to worry about. Looks like the cut works very well with your figure. I hate the tie though.

Whatever you do, don't exchange it for a BB sack. I think it looks great.

One of the better suit critique first posts I've seen. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm a little jealous. I'll be looking for Hickey in the future.

As long as you're comfortable with it... I think it looks good. The suit won't get you the job, and in this case there's nothing so terribly wrong that it would prevent it either.

Personally i'd take a slighly more interesting tie. Put a color in there somewhere.

Looks really, really great. I agree that I don't love the tie, but it's certainly A-OK for an interview.

I'm not liking the tan shoes with that suit. Do you have any oxblood or "cordovan" colored shoes? Is the suit navy, gray, or black?

Jacket is little short,0.5" inch maybe, different shoes and tie and if they don't hire you,it won't be because of your suit.

Lose the shirt, black shoes and you'll be fine. The tie is not great but will work for an interview.

You have the figure to wear most brands but I don't think BB is for someone your age.

Get some BB Black Fleece and you are guaranteed the job.
