Suit sleeves

Hi there... i realise that when i look at suit pictures, the end of the sleeve of the suit (where the buttons are located) looks slightly bigger or wider. However, when i talk to my tailor he said that the end of the sleeves should not be wider. In fact the sleeves of the suit goes from wide (shoulder) to narrow (wrist)

Is it just my eyes or it is because of the last button being unbutton or it is indeed a little larger in the end to give it a nice look?

Yes, the sleeve should taper toward your wrist. Sometimes it might look otherwise due to the angle or because the hem is lifting up a bit where it is buttoned.
