Hey guys im new to this forum, ive found it trought internet and it seemed pretty cool,
anyways i got a question for you.

i bought a navy blue slim coat not so long ago for my prom,

i definitily want to rock a bow tie with it or a skinny tie.

so here my question,

i tried the coat with a white slim shirt ( i dont like other colour on shirt for suit )
and a khaki slim pants ( not too slim, dont worry ), it seemed pretty dope with brown loafer / moccasin.
anyways my girlfriend is wearing a red dress, short , cause its my prom.
i NEED to wear a RED bow tie and a red pocket square (option)
but should i choose the khaki pants ? or pants same color as the coat ?
with the khaki pants it was freakin awesome but when i tried it i was not rockin the red bow tie so...

Do you guys think that would be too much color ? cause personnaly i dont like suit with pant the same color as the coat but if my option doesnt work :s..

or should i go with the coat, khaki pants, whit shirt, blue bow tie, but that will not match the red dress at all...i dont know

Do navy coat, grey pants, red bow-tie, white shirt and when you hit the dance floor you could change into some off blue jeans.

I know my advice will not be followed, because your gf probably wants you to wear a red tie/pocket square; and if she does, by all means, you should do what makes her happy. This night, after all, is about you and her and not about your choice of clothing. However, if you are free to decide, then I'd avoid a too matchy-matchy combination in your own ensemble and between you two as well. Wear your khaki pants if they fit you well (make sure you press them well before the event). Find a nice crisp white pocket square to go with your shirt and a dark shade of red (burgundy) bow-tie or necktie. You can also do a red gingham pocket square or something interesting. Post your shirt, pant + jacket combination and you'll get more help. Examples of PS:

Everything looks great, but those shoes are no good. The pants are already casual enough, but the shoes are suitable for a morning stroll, not for a formal event like a prom. You need to find a pair of decent lace-ups.

Sure, nice loafers would look good. Something like a pair I'm selling (check out my signature link for pictures). You obviously don't need something that expensive, but the styling should be closer to that than the boat shoes (or w/e they are called) you linked.
